Easiest way to Tune Guitar

well,first of all I must admit that I am naive guitar player.Tuning Guitar is always a big problem for me. I went through net and It was always hard for me to tune guitar with the help of sounds.

There are two types of tuning guitar
1. Absolute : where,frequency of each string is fixed and for tuning guitar you need help of synthesizer or ready made frequency MP3s available.This approach is followed in Western Music Culture
2. Relative : In this type,the frequency of strings are set with refence to the 1st string (E string ).
I am following this approach because there is no harm in doing so.. :)

well, I think,when you play the guitar in unison, you need to follow the first way otherwise It is better to tune it relatively

I believe you people are very much aware of chromatic scale

now,play above tab.play A open and E with placing the finger on the 5th fret at a time.if guitar is tuned then you will get single sound otherwise you will able to listen two different sounds.If you get two sounds then strings are not tuned.slide finger to sixth fret and repeat the process. or it is better try from first fret.then then go on finding the fret where you get unison.
say,you get unison at 7th fret then adjust A string and you will get the effect of sliding unison sound.adjust the tension in the string 'A' such that you get unison at 5th

similarly follow the same procedure for other strings
